Information architecture is less about the solution and more about truly understanding the problem. If you don't truly understand they underlying problem a client wants/needs to fix your efforts no matter how well thought out won't be nearly as effective.
FORUMALATE A GAMEPLAN
Whether its a sitemap that starts with a content audit and purge, or journey mapping primary audience journeys all information architecture should start from a place of understanding of the content and goals. Once an understanding is achieved the fun part begins, where I get to solve puzzles for a living.
TURN CHAOS INTO ORDER
From post-it notes to fancy software this is where it all comes together into an actionable solution. The deliverable could be a sitemap from small to enterprise, or it could be a content plan with governance to help an organization understand how to manage their product in the future
